Manjula Pothos cutting

The Manjula Pothos is the jewel of the Pothos family! This plant is a variegated variety of Epipremnum Aureum, known for its compact growth pattern full of large, uniquely variegated leaves. Its leaves are wide and tend to have wavy edges. 

Its variegation consists of what looks like brushstrokes as well as speckles of cream and different shades of green. It tends to have more solid green colors on its leaf edges.

How to root your Manjula Pothos cutting

Pothos is one of the easiest indoor plants to propagate and you can choose to root your cutting directly in soil, water or in your choice of propagation substrate such as sphagnum moss, fern fibre, leca etc.

Water propagation is the fastest and easiest way to root your Manjula Pothos cutting. Fill your glass or jar with filtered water or allow the tap water to sit out in the open for a while to let the chlorine dissipate. Submerge the lower 1-2 nodes of your pothos cutting in the water with the leaves up above. Make sure that no leaves are touching the water as this could lead to rot.

Then, place in a warm spot that receives plenty of bright, indirect light (no direct sun though) and change the water regularly until the roots are at least an inch long and your cutting is ready to be planted in soil.

Manjula Pothos Plant care

This plant thrives in bright, indirect sunlight but will also tolerate medium light conditions. Allow the soil to mostly dry between waterings. 

Give your Manjula a well-draining soil mix - adding about 20% to 30% perlite into your succulent potting mix will do the trick. 

The best temperature range is between 18-28°C.

Please note: These plants don't like the white of their leaves getting wet/misted (as this can cause browning and in some cases leaf loss).
